Fixes for annoying bugs in WordPress 2.0.3

Posted in wordpress by Mark Jaquith on June 2nd, 2006

I’ve written a plugin that will fix the following annoying bugs that were introduced by the recent WordPress 2.0.3 release:

  • Editing a comment will generate an “Are you sure?” dialog
  • A bug in the “Are you sure?” dialog adds slashes in front of all of your quote characters
  • After editing comments, you are not forwarded to the correct location

Go download the plugin. No editing of files required! Spread the word.

Carthik Sharma believes that this also has something to do with Bad Behavior (which I’m using). Is that the case?

Nah, these were bona fide bugs in the WordPress code. Bad Behavior issues usually manifest as some sort of 4xx error.

Thanks for doing this. Those bugs were all driving me nuts. I came to your site to learn how to use TextMate with wordpress, and found this too. Many thanks, again.
