Bob Barr enters U.S. presidential race, powered by WordPress
Bob Barr, former Georgia Congressman, has announced a bid for the Libertarian nomination for president. He’s likely to receive it. Mr. Barr’s campaign blog is powered by WordPress. He even has open comments on his blog’s entries!
man, the first thing I think of when I see ‘Bob Barr’ is ‘Bob Barker’ of Price is Right fame.
But cool–open comments? That’s not normal for a presidential candidate–I thought they were supposed to be not accessible to the people–how cool is that!

BTW, I duuno what that logo to the left of my name is, but as a German I feel slightly uncomfortable to be labeled by it. It bears loose resemblance to a swastika (my guess is, that’s the Indian sign the swastika was based off).

Sunny… he’s not running as a Republican or a Democrat so he is not “late for the game”… in fact he’s right on time as there isn’t really a Libertarian Primary schedule and both the major parties are just now entering the general election cycle.

It’s kind of interesting that the same people who designed Ron Paul’s website also designed Bob Barr’s. I wonder if the Paul campaign recommended them to the Barr campaign.

It’s programmatically generated from a hash of your e-mail address… so it’s effectively random. Go sign up for a Gravatar to specify the image you want (on this site, and others).
Whatever your political principles or associations, I think it’s cool that so many candidates are embracing social media — especially when they use WordPress. And Barr’s site has open comments (i.e. no registration) which is more of a wholehearted embrace of the open spirit of the Internet that I’ve seen any other candidate take, so I think it’s noteworthy.

Eventually, this party will make a major mark in United States politics. The only thing that we, as US citizens, need to understand that everything comes with change. The Dems and Republicans have to continuously push thorough their agenda to the point that the people will be forced to look for another outlook to represent them in all 3 areas of government. As far as Mr. Barr, I think that despite his ultra-conservative approach to conducting policy (including tightening the grip on the war on drugs and yearning to abolish the religious practice of wicca in The Pentagon), he has a clear plan about shaking up the government and slowly turning out country towards a state of neutralism. If the US were a neutral country, our debt would probably be half of what it is today.

Mr.Clinton is backing Mr.Ohama in the race for president and back up advice.The way I recalled it when Mr.Clinton was in offices he got the free trade passed.I was not for it then and I am not for it now.I know Mr.McCain is for it.and that is my party.I will ever be for it.I have seen plants shut down in my state becaused of it.It is hard for the people working to make a living in my state.Do you want an other Jimmy Carter in offices when your’s moeny wouldn’t buy anything.I repect Mr.Carter,but not as a president.You couldn’t tell the people about Jimmy Cater and you can’t tell the people about Mr.Ohama. Today I saw an ad on television about Mr.McCain.It is about looking back with brush.A good leader always looks head ,not back.However it was talk about,if the young people of American,black or what ever,could see back when he was in office,and he is one of the advises for Mr.Ohama.I could say maybe he will teach him on how to get a blow job.When we lost the trade we had and the free trade came about.Shuting so many plants down in my state and others.He looks like he is on medication by his eyes.Maybe it stress or just tired.Maybe he is on drugs again.The young people could back fifteen years.They may choiced Mr.McCain in stead of Mr.Ohama.Have a good night Jack

McCain has not done anything special in his life. He was one of the many prisioners, but one a the few with the right contacts. He has used this to present himsel as a hero, but he is very far from that.
To top that, he chooses pallin to be his right hand. Just check out her history and then you’ll know about thier idea of democracy.
Come on guys, you have a chance to make history, don’t let it pass and go for Obama.
